AGAD Music Playlist

While I'm trying to work on prioritizing and my time management skills so I stop freaking out as much, I'm watching the amazing men of "A Gay A Day" the YouTube collaboration channel.

During the first week of this year (I just realized -again- that I don't quite comprehend what year it is right now. It was the first week of last year), they challenged each other to create a quick soundtrack to their current lives and I wanted to belatedly join in! The biggest challenge for me is to choose songs without overthinking it too much. I feel I should emphasize the fact that I'm choosing these songs off the top of my head and I have plenty of songs that would fall under the categories but I'll stick to one each. I will, however, let myself choose mostly recent mainstream songs. :D

1. A song that makes you happy:

"Everything" by Michael Bublé

I can listen to it constantly and it turns into a duet in my head. 

I love listening to it as I'm flying home to see the SO again. <3

 

2. A song that makes you sad:

"Heaven" the 9/11 Remix by DJ Sammy

Such a tragic event coupled with the fact that I was 

recovering from minor surgery and coming 

down from the anesthesia in my darkened 

room lit up by a lava lamp the first time I heard it. 

I was a hot sobbing mess. 

I still have a physical reaction to this song every time I hear it.

3. A song that makes you nostalgic:

"Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani

It's not even about the content or the fact that I appreciate 

this song teaching the masses how to spell "bananas". 

I heard this song several times during my high school senior year prom: 

getting ready, riding in the limo, at the prom, when we got back into the limo, 

etc. It pretty much gives me snapshots of all of those fun moments 

and even though prom wasn't perfect, it was still another 

good time with friends, and that's what growing up is pretty much about.

4. A song that makes you want to dance:

"Marry You" by Bruno Mars

This was actually a really hard song to choose. 

There are plenty of songs that I obsess over and love to jam to 

(surprise, surprise, right? XD) but the typical song 

I love to dance to tends to be something raunchy, loud, trashy, 

and ridiculous. I could not really think of one that was currently 

filling that space in my life right now. However, that dang Glee 

turned me onto this song and it makes me want to kick up my heels 

and go prancing around the room/ public venue. 

Not too many make me just want to celebrate and 

that's why this song was the winner. 

5. A song that no one would expect you to like:

"Game On" by The Guild

Alright, if you learn a few things about me, know that you 

should never be surprised by anything that comes up in my iTunes.

I'm pretty sure I've shared this already because it's so awesome,

but here we go!

Too much fun. I'm going to keep browsing for digital pieces for the recipe scrapbook I've been meaning to work on and children's books because I'm an oddball like that. :D I hope you have fun and would love to hear/ see your soundtrack.

148. Musical Interlude

We got up early this morning and were at the new house to sweep and mop up all of the tile in order to have it dry by the time we were ready to go pick up kitty-cat. He seems to be taking all the changes really well (for him)! Been keeping a pretty close eye on him just to make sure he doesn't start any bad habits but mostly because he's disgustingly cute and sweetly tentative. I'm glad that he seems to have really accepted me as a source of comfort when his daddy isn't right there. Lol, that doesn't stop him from running up to and looking underneath the bathroom door whenever the SO is in there. XD Too adorable, my darling boys.

Anyways, I'm really tired from moving around stuff so here is one of the latest videos from The Guild! They have started Season 4 and are on Episode 2 right now. This is the music video for this season! I love it and it was so unexpected. That also reminds me that the third and final season of The Legend of Neil has started as well. Both are PG-13. Actually, the latter is probably much closer to being rated R, lol. Just a warning since I won't be putting up the link. :P

134. Mmm... Bed

I really do love sleeping. It's the whole falling asleep and waking up process that I am no fan of. I just suck at both. I don't know where else I want to take that tangent right now. I just really love my bed and I never want to leave it? Lol, but then I guess visiting with my friends would get a little weird. Just laying in bed in my pj's surrounded by friends standing around because I'll mostly likely have a bunch of crap on my bed so only the first person to arrive can sit down with me.

Um... I'm not really awake right now... apparently, so I'm going to post two things I finally saw today that made me incredibly happy:

I think that this is just too much awesome for me to handle all at once. This is on top of having a mini reunion with two good friends that I've had since elementary and middle school. Crazy stuff and good times. Man, we're getting old fast. Lol.

112. Long Awaited

A lot of waiting was done today. We were in the mood to play our game, World of Warcraft (aka WoW) after days of spending entire days sans internet while at the new house. To make that deal bittersweet, there was quite a update to it today. A few years back, you know, back in the good ole days, the maintenance and updates would be done by 11am PDT at the latest. That is now 3pm PDT, on average. Today it was more of a 6:30pm kind of deal. So very painful. It wasn't even so much as there was going to be tons of new things to do. Nope, the new raid (think dungeon with bigger groups) they added isn't available to access in North American just yet and the only other thing they really did was to add this Friends list/ chat system.

Personally, I feel that it is kind of nice but in very limited ways. I don't like giving out my email along with my full name, let alone having it displayed every time someone sends me a message. Yes, it's supposed to connect people who are friends in real life, but come on. As with any other social networking gimmick, there are going to be a substantial amount of people who aren't quite really your friends but will be offended/ hurt if you deny the connection. I will be using it sparingly.

There were a bunch of other little instances, but I don't feel like remembering them all because it'll just lead me to get frustrated all over again about them, lol. I'm feeling pretty under the weather today and and crossing my fingers that I don't get too sick this week. The good news is that my camera is all charged up and ready to go tomorrow. :)

Before I go, there is one of the best things I've seen in a long time from one of the best shows (it's a web show) I've seen in a while. Just because I'm a dork/nerd/geek like that. :D The Guild!""
